Wow. I've never had a problem with porn popping up on my computer, and most sites I visit are very clean.
This is ridiculous.
during today's witchtower study there was so much wisdom.
coming forth from the conductor and those in attendance that.
i could only say to myself "can't they hear what they are saying?".

this brother was sitting near me today at the hall and when the public speaker started talking about the signs of the last days this guy started whispering something to his wife and kind of mocking the speaker in a quiet voice.
his wife looked really pissed off.. i've suspected this guy before by some of the stuff he's said and done and some of the #3 talks hes given he's gone off the assigned topic quite a bit.. during the wt study i was doing mics and i happened to walk by him several times.
his wt was on the floor and his bible was opened to topic for conversation at the end of the bible at the last days part.. a little while later his wife gave him the look and said something to him and he picked up his unprepared wt and followed along.. hoser.
Interesting. I found that when I started to question "the Truth", I eventually started making lttle snide remarks about things that speakers said as well.
i'm new here and i wanted to introduce myself.
i am attending jw meetings for reasons that i will not, at this time, elaborate on, but i want to leave.
i have wanted to for awhile, for many reasons.
Thank you, Resistance is Futile. I think I have been to that site, a few times, but I don't remember for sure. Is it a good site?
lamallcool, Thanks.
And, tenyearsafter, I actually read a few excerpts from the book online, but never read it completely. It does sound good though.
And yes, I have family still active. I think that this site will help build up more confidence in leaving. And thank you!

tenyearsafter: Well actually I am babtized. I was raised in "the Truth". I can see how you'd get the idea that I wasn't though. But thanks for the welcome.
It's so nice of you all to welcome me so quickly and be so helpful. I appreciate it.

tec: Well thanks...I'm a Green Day fan, and that's where I got the name. Suits me.
And the limit on posts makes sense, thanks for explaining it to me.
VampireDCLXV: I do get a bit sick at times when dealing with JWs, and quite depressed too! And I do plan on getting out soon. I'll try not to wait too long.
I just signed up for Gravatar. Hope it works!
factfinder: I'm still trying to find the courage and the right way to leave. Good for you for getting out. I hope I can too.
godrulz: Frankly, I'm not sure that I want to be in ANY religion, but I'm still "looking". Not a fan of the Bible now to be honest...
jamiebowers: Thank you... I can't wait to tell it!
sizemik: So am I, thanks! It's a very cool site.

thetrueone: Wow...10 years! I hadn't realized it was so old. I'll have a lot to read!
we had a letter read this afternoon after the watchtower study that said we had 54,408 auxillary pioneers in april and with the regular pioneers it totaled 64,855 in full time preaching in april.
57% of the publishers.. so my guess is that the co will come down hard on any congregation that didn't meet those numbers next april.. i think the 30 hour thing had it's desired effect.. hoser.
Thanks, factfinder!

Hello everyone!
I'm new here and I wanted to introduce myself. I am attending JW meetings for reasons that I will not, at this time, elaborate on, but I want to leave. I have wanted to for awhile, for many reasons. I am somewhere between agnostic and atheistic, and I dissagree with most of the WTS's teachings, as well as it's member's attitudes. (I especially dissagree with the way they tend to treat women and children, as well as the subject of rape and child molestation.)
So I just wanted to say hi to everyon here.
Also, some questions: Would you mind telling me why I can only post 10 comments a day and one topic a day (if I'm correct about that)?
Can I change my avatar without Gravatar?

@ Gayle, talesin, and clarity: Thank you all. :) I see it now *facepalm* I cannot believe that I didn't notice it before.
This looks like a great site. :)
It would be nice to see the actual, truthful statistics of publishers, pioneers, etc in different areas...but I somehow doubt that the WTS doesn't spin the facts to some extent.

I find it disturbing that so many people are wasting so much of their time pioneering- in addition to all the other things that the Society requires. It's rather sad.
Um...I'm new here, and this is my first post... and I was wondering how to start a new topic on this site. I don't see anything telling me how to start one. Can someone tell me how, please?
